Restore Beach Act Funding FY2017

On May 5th, President Trump signed a budget deal to keep the federal government in operation for the rest of the fiscal year - until October 1rst.  This final budget for FY2017 included level funding for the EPA BEACH Grants program, which Surfrider Foundation and our partners have advocated for in each of the last five federal funding cycles.  The EPA BEACH Act grants program is the main source of funding for water quality testing and public health protection programs at beaches across the country, and we are glad to know that coastal communities will have access to this support to help keep beachgoers safe for another year.  Learn more about the 2017 budget deal here.
