While the General Assembly adjourned on June 9, 2021, we will continue to press for a statewide foam ban and will update this page accordingly!

We're working with allied environmental nonprofit organizations to support the passage of a good bill to ban expanded polystyrene foam foodware in Connecticut!
Not less than three bills have been introduced in 2021:

HB 5525- AN ACT PROHIBITING THE USE OF POLYSTYRENE CONTAINERS IN RESTAURANTS
HB 5821- AN ACT ELIMINATING THE USE OF SINGLE-USE POLYSTYRENE CONTAINERS
