Bag Legislation in Ventnor, NJ
The South Jersey Chapter wants a local ordinance in Ventnor, NJ on single use bags.
Ventnor is one of three town on the same island known as the “Downbeach” towns where the chapter worked on bag awareness and legislation starting in 2015. There were numerous cleanups in Ventnor starting in 2016 and there was education for merchants as well.
It took until after an election though but in February, 2018 the town passed a 5 cent fee on both paper and plastic single use bags.
